Overview

Insurers and brokers know they need to do more with less. AI and automation promise faster settlement, lower costs and better customer outcomes. The technology is ready. Yet, despite the pressure to transform, most organisations remain stuck in pilots and small-scale experiments. Heavy investment hasn’t translated into meaningful change – and very few have successfully automated claims at scale.

Claims teams see the potential for faster settlement and better customer outcomes, but perceived regulatory, security and integration risks often slow progress. The result is a gap between what is possible and what is happening on the ground.

This breakfast briefing will explore where automation can make the greatest impact, why data challenges matter and how organisations can overcome legacy constraints to deliver tangible and meaningful change in claims. We will consider how business and IT can work together to move beyond the hype and focus on solving real problems today.

Key topics to be discussed include:

  • Why automation in complex claims has not progressed at the pace the technology allows and what is stopping adoption in practice
  • How data quality, legacy systems and regulatory concerns limit the ability to deploy AI safely and at scale
  • Where AI-powered automation can make a measurable difference in complex claims, including FNOL, triage and workflow redesign
  • How to move beyond pilots and proof of concepts to production solutions that deliver real operational efficiency and better customer outcomes
